A “gang sheet” is a sheet where multiple designs (or instances of a design) are laid out (“ganged”) to maximize print efficiency. A “rush” or “same-day” option means the printer will prioritize your order (often pushing it ahead in the queue) to finish it the same business day you order (or at least start production the same day). Because it disrupts the normal workflow, printers charge an extra fee. Some key constraints you usually see:

• A cutoff time by which the order (with final, print-ready artwork) must be submitted (e.g. 11 am, and 2 pm, for all orders that will be locally picked up from shop.).
• Limitations on how large or complex the gang sheet can be under the same-day option.
• The rush fee is non-refundable unless they truly can’t meet the turnaround.
• The rush fee often does not include expedited shipping; that’s a separate cost.
• Rush orders does not include weekends
